Simon qualified as a Chartered Accountant and spent 10 years in finance, including a period working in Private Equity. In 2000 Simon setup his first backup and recovery service company, selling in 2003. His second business Backup Technology was founded in 2005 and after sustained growth was sold to iomart plc in September 2013. After a short period out of the sector, Simon and 4 industry friends established Assured Data Protection in 2015. Assured has grown to become a global leader in backup and recovery as a service. With HQ’s in Leeds, UK and Washington DC, US - Assured has over 400 customers and 100 employees split evenly across EMEA and the US. A recent deal with Soho Square means Assured is well capitalised to continue its strong growth in the years to come.
